The regional jurisdiction spans the western parishes of St. James, Hanover and Westmoreland and, therefore, influences the activities of the approximately 540 existing recognised educational institutions within its borders. This is inclusive of Early Childhood, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary classifications in both the public and private sectors. As regards the Early Childhood and Secondary Units, these borders are extended into parts of Trelawny and St. Elizabeth for the purposes of supervision.
